Adult education starting up after Ramadan at Tamani, Zanzibar
With this post we are officially welcoming all our students back to Tamani for the autumn semester! Or as we say in Kiswahili – Karibuni wote (Welcome all)!
Nursery back in action at Tamani school in Zanzibar
This week our nursery students are back in the school and happily learning and playing again. We are so glad to be able to give them this opportunity to have a taste of education before they start primary school. They will be well prepared!

We at Tamani are closed during Ramadan – well, almost… Volunteer helping out!
We have a short break during Ramadan now, so the students can rest well and prepare for the second half of the year. Well, some students are a bit more ambitious and wanted some extra tuition in math and English. 🙂 We are so happy about this, and it really shows the potential that there is here in Matemwe!
Opportunity to meet with the businesses in Zanzibar
As we mentioned in the previous post, we had a sort of speed-dating session during the Mid-Year Day when the hotels had a chance to meet and greet with our students. The students in their turn had a chance to meet with the hotel managers and present themselves.
Mid-Year Day at Tamani School
On Friday the 27th of June we had our Mid-Year Day at Tamani Foundation. The students were very happy to have completed half of the year, and many with great results.

Dental Camp for nursery students at Tamani
