Where We Are Now

In 2020, Tamani Foundation School (TFS) has completed its full course of the first batch of 14 students completed their primary education successfully and now proceeding to other secondary schools.

In addition to our regular academic activities this year, Tamani organized activities to strengthen the nursery and primary education, in alignment with our philosophy of holistic development. These activities included eye and dental camps, field trips to various locations around Zanzibar, and foreign volunteers joining us to strengthen our strategic and academic outlook.

Furthermore, Tamani also strives to provide the basic primary needs of the students, engaging the parents, and providing the larger community to benefit in various ways. This includes hiring a local villager to make the daily porridge, asking parents to contribute towards field trips and uniforms being sourced from a local tailor, and establishing a Parents Committee which allows the administration and parents to stay connected over the course of the year.

Today TFS has approximately 200 students in Nursery and Primary level.
