With this post we are officially welcoming all our students back to Tamani for the autumn semester! Or as we say in Kiswahili – Karibuni wote (Welcome all)!
So now the entire Tamani family is gathered again at last! With a five weeks break during Ramadan it seems like a long time ago that we were all at school simultaneously.
One of our educational coordinators, Linus, held a brief presentationyesterday, first about the foundation and what we do, just to inspire the students and give them the overall picture again. We also had a group of volunteering teacher students from the UK who joined the orientation – nice to have you here guys!
Then after the orientation we took the teacher students around the education facilities while our students were given information about which class they will be in during the next two months until the next examination. This is based on their results from their last test in June so everyone was really curious about which class they would qualify for!
