This experience turned out to be something I would have never expected. The beautiful beach was definitely breathtaking, but the kind welcome and love we were received with is what made the trip so touching. Zahra and Fehmida bent over backwards to make us feel comfortable and at home.
Not to mention, volunteering at the school was like a dream. There was so much to do but never any pressure on us. We could take on as much or as little of the work as we wanted, and the results were always rewarding. The school children were all sweethearts, and I actually got really attached to many of them. Tamani has a piece of my heart, and I would love to come back and experience that heartwarming happiness all over again.
